From Palm Coast to the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 A Recent Apostille Service
A Recent Apostille Service from Start to Finish
Have you ever been told that a document needs an apostille before it can be used in another country — and then wondered, Okay… now what?
You’re not alone.
The apostille process can feel confusing when you’re dealing with notarization requirements, document preparation, processing, shipping, and an international destination.
Recently, Mendoza Coastal Notary, LLC had the opportunity to assist a client with a document that needed to be notarized and apostilled for use in the Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴
A Real Apostille Service — Completed
For this request, I met with the client locally, completed the required notarization, and coordinated the document through the apostille process.
Once the apostille was completed, the document was returned to Mendoza Coastal Notary and prepared for final hand delivery to the client.
There is something especially satisfying about seeing the finished apostille come back — including the State of Florida authentication of my signature and commission as the notary who performed the original notarization!
What Is an Apostille?
An apostille is a special certification used to authenticate the origin of certain public documents for use in another country that participates in the Hague Apostille Convention.
Depending on the document, notarization may be required before the apostille can be issued.
The apostille does not certify the contents of the document. Instead, it authenticates information such as the signature, official capacity, seal, or stamp associated with the document.
And this is where clients can sometimes become overwhelmed — because not every document follows the same process.
More Than Just Mailing a Document
At Mendoza Coastal Notary, apostille facilitation is designed to help take some of the guesswork out of the process.
Depending on the document and situation, our service may include coordinating:
Document review for apostille processing
Notarization when required
Preparation for submission
Courier or shipping arrangements
Return shipping
Status communication throughout the process
Final local delivery of the completed document
I also provide my clients with information about protecting the completed apostille. One very important reminder:
Do not remove or separate the apostille from the document once it has been attached.
The apostille and the document it authenticates should remain together.
Do You Need an Apostille?
Apostilles may be requested for many different types of documents being presented internationally, including certain powers of attorney, affidavits, vital records, business documents, educational records, and other official documents.
The requirements depend on what the document is, where it originated, and the country where it will be used.
That is why I encourage clients to contact me before signing or notarizing the document whenever possible. A quick review at the beginning may help avoid unnecessary delays or having to redo part of the process.
